My Story

I first experienced motherhood with my daughter 13 years ago (subsequently my 9 year old daughter and 2 year old son). I  was fortunate to have experienced having my mother and other friends surround me as I made the transition to motherhood.

Even with all of their support and care I still experienced the overwhelm and exhaustion of motherhood. Distinctly, I remember my mother's constant care and support. My mother would patiently encourage me to trust my instincts, and take the opportunity to rest and enjoy. These experiences of familial and communal support solidified my passion to provide a similar experience to other new mothers and families.

For thousands of years and still yet in many cultures around the world, the "normal" is centered on community support as a mother, baby and family transitions into the new. I have been heavily influenced by Spanish and Indian cultures that support Mom.

I have seen mothers pushed prematurely to get back to life before baby after becoming a  mother. This leaves new mothers alone to face the physical and emotional challenges in their new stage of their lives.

It is my passion to honor the significance of pregnancy, birth, and the postpartum with my time and care in serving the whole family.

I want to partner with your family to ensure baby is settling into their whole new world, Mama is recovering and resting from the hardest job yet, and family is nourished, supported and enjoying their newest little member.

When I come into your home for the first time I will bring you a warm meal. I enjoy talking to Mom about her birth story and being a point of reference for new baby and motherhood questions postpartum. Taking the load of light housework like tidying up, laundry, and baby's hygiene needs are available to you as well. Making suggestions for nursing and bottle feeding as well as recovery tips for Mom are something I am passionate about providing.

I look forward to serving your family with my unique gifts in postpartum care!
